Burford Surgery

Both Burford Surgery and Bampton Surgery currently provide care from the Carterton Health Centre site. However, the site itself is owned by Burford Surgery.

Over the past few years, we have experienced a significant 18% growth in our patient list, resulting in increased demand for services. In response, we have already expanded our team by an additional seven members. However, to continue delivering high-quality care and meet the growing needs of our patient population at Carterton Health Centre, we now need to further expand our staffing and service capacity. To enable this, we will not be renewing the lease for Bampton Surgery and will instead utilise the whole site for services from Burford Surgery.

We would like to reassure all patients that, if they wish to continue receiving care at Carterton, they will be able to register with Burford Surgery.

We would like to emphasise that these changes will not come into effect until April 2026.

For patients already registered with Burford Surgery, services at Carterton Health Centre will continue as normal. In fact, we expect to offer a more accessible and enhanced service from this site going forward.
